From the New York Times:
Stacy Lewis is ranked as the best American player and ranked 3rd in the world. Here’s a small piece of a long article on Stacy Lewis.

Lewis’s consistency in hitting fairways and greens has always been the strength of her game. She ranks third in greens in regulation, but her weakness, she said, was being a streaky putter. That began to change in September 2010 when, at the suggestion of her college coach, she experimented with Aimpoint, a method of reading greens that teaches golfers how to identify slope and its affect on the break of the putt, among other lessons.

“Aimpoint unlocked the door for her,” Hallett said. “Now she has a highway to get the ball into the hole instead of a tightrope.”

Her confidence in her line has soared this season. She ranks tied for second in putts per green in regulation and leads the L.P.G.A. in birdies.

“She’s fearless on the putting green,” said the World Golf Hall of Fame member Juli Inkster, “and that’s something you can’t teach.”
